beginners leather course
Join us in the Paterson Salisbury Workshop to experience the world of traditional leather craft.
Our Beginners Leather Course will focus on giving you the fundamental skills and techniques you need to make any piece of fine leather work.
Over 5 weeks, we will introduce you to a variety of hand-tools and guide you through two projects, first a Japanese utility knife sheath and second a puff key ring (pictured above). We will concentrate on a basic skill set involving cutting, saddle stitching, edging and creasing, to ensure you have good foundations to take on your next project.
Classes are kept small (3 students per class) to give you a great learning environment and plenty of bench space to create your own beautiful leather pieces.
